A platform and a working business

I founded Planet of the Vapes in 2012 and personally built the platform from scratch. It is an established production publishing and community platform with approximately 60,000 registered community members. My work spans its applications, integrations, databases, infrastructure, and day-to-day commercial operations.

From Drupal to Laravel

I architected the Laravel publishing application and migrated it from Drupal, including content models, data migration, and bespoke editorial workflows. The work combined changes to the application with the practical requirements of moving an established publishing platform.

A community migration to XenForo

I migrated the forum from vBulletin to XenForo, including users, databases, links, redirects, and custom forum and advertising integrations. This connected the community system with the wider commercial platform.

CRM and connected business operations

I engineered the complete HubSpot CRM integration and commercial systems. Vendor workspaces store the corresponding HubSpot company reference and provide a direct link to that record. I also developed a personal assistant connected to the platform, email, HubSpot CRM, and task management, supporting planning, vendor operations, and advertising workflows.

Built, deployed, and operated

The publishing platform, community, and CRM integration are in production. I manage the cloud hosting, Linux infrastructure, Cloudflare, Redis, Meilisearch, and ongoing operations, alongside further application development and integrations.
